The Friday Five

Posted on Nov 21st, 2008 by Kris : Messenger of Light Kris

The Friday Five Questions:

*1) What am I thankful for today?

Today I'm thankful for the flexibility I have in my day job, an understanding boss who realizes time spent in a box is not necessarily the best use of time.

*2) What do I appreciate about the Earth?

Mother Earth is forgiving and no matter how much abuse she takes from us she still manages to provide us with such beauty.

*3)  Who is the last person I said "thank you" to?

My sister Gayleen for bringing me an ever so lovely soy latte with sugar-free hazelnut - my favorite drink in the morning.  She makes me laugh, reminds me to laugh at life sometimes, and she's a treasured human being.

*4)  When is the last time someone thanked me?

Last night at 3 a.m. when my little guy Julian woke up and asked if he could crawl in bed with me and watch "The Jungle Book".  I said no sweetie because it's sleep time and then he asked me for water with ice - when I brought it to him he said "thank you".... he's so darn cute!  We are learning please and thank you right now.

*5)  What is my favorite way to say thank you?

Hum - I don't really have a favorite way... it just depends on the person and the situation.... but sometimes I like to leave an unexpected note or card.  I try never to take anyone for granted and since I'm a mom I know sometimes you can feel this way.  So once in a while I'll drop a card in the mail to my mother and thank her for being such a positive force of strength in my life. . .

I'd love to hear your answers to these questions....have a blessed day and weekend!

#4- Aaawww! Jungle Book was a fave when I was a kid and when my kids were kids. What a sweet little memory that is.

Aawww…snuggle time. I don't think we ever out grow it. My twelve year old still loves our snuggle time before bed.
