PLEASE DO THIS FOR THE ANIMALS...IT ONLY TAKES A SECOND AND 'NO MONEY!!!!

  • Hi to All you Animal Lovers :)

This is pretty simple... Please tell ten Friends to tell ten today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of Getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals.

It takes less than a minute (How about 20 seconds) to go to their site And click on the purple box 'fund food for animals' for free. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the Number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals In exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

AGAIN, PLEASE TELL 10 FRIENDS !!!

What does it mean to be fearless?

Posted on Oct 4th, 2008 by Kris : Messenger of Light Kris
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 04, 2008:

In my way of living/thinking their are two primary opposites - fear and love.

In making decisions they are either fear based or love based... or if you are dealing with a particularly burdensome event and you make no choice at all it's based on fear or expecting the absolute worst possible outcome...

So to be fearless to me represents making love based choices:)

Would I jump off a 100 foot cliff without a parachute - absolutely not -  Or go for a walk by myself in a known gang neighborhood - probably not - this would reckless!

Here's to living in Love :)

Install LOVE :)

Posted on Oct 6th, 2008 by Kris : Messenger of Light Kris

Hello My Gaia Friends!

I am blessed with a really special brother with a very kind heart.  He sent me this wonderfully written and cleaver email today and I wanted to share it with all of you :)

*******************************************************************************************

Installing Love

Tech Support: Yes, . how can I help you?

Customer: Well, after much consideration, I've decided to install Love. Can you guide me through the process?

Tech Support: Yes. I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?

Customer: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready. What do I do first?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart?

Customer:
Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it okay to install Love while they are running?

Tech Support:
What programs are running ?

Customer:

Let's see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge and Resentment running right now.

Tech Support:
No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed. Can you turn those off ?

Customer:
I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?

Tech Support:
With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and Resentment have been completely erased.

Customer:
Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is that normal?

Tech Support:
Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.

Customer:
Oops! I have an error message already. It says, "Error - Program not run on external components." What should I do?

Tech Support:
Don't worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before you can Love others.

Customer:
So, what should I do?

Tech Support:
Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.

Customer:
Okay, done.

Tech Support:
Now, copy them to the "My Heart" directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming. Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Customer:
Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files. Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?

Tech Support:
Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.

Customer:
Thank you, God.

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did...
Blessings,
Kris

Just for FUN...

I was dog sitting a foster dog (Kyle) last week and I brought home a crate for sleeping at night because he's still being house broken.  I would have taken the puppy myself but I already have 2 dogs and 2 cats and I live in a community where you are only allowed to have 2 dogs (with a maximum weight of 35 lbs).  My dog Joey weighs 70 lbs... so my excuse for him is he's Siamese twins - not hardly his fault.  So I already break the rules... But I occasionally press the boundaries even further and bring home a foster dog for some family time while looking for good homes.

My little guys, Julian and James, had way too much fun with puppy Kyle and the crate and while I wasn't looking decided to have a look inside...

Is this the funniest thing ever or what!

Wishing you all love, fun, laughter, and a happy home : )

Loving From A Distance

Posted on Oct 14th, 2008 by Kris : Messenger of Light Kris

Today I was reminded of something my mother has told me many times throughout my life - I call it a LaRue-ism:

"We should love all of mankind, but sometimes you have to love someone from a distance;  And sometimes the distance is greater than others"

I'm a  helper and nurturer by nature and I believe everyone is capable of making a positive contribution to society no matter what the circumstances.  I have gone to great lengths at times to help people...even to the point of putting myself in harms way.  No I don't think I'm special or a saint by any means - I just want everyone to live happy and productive lives.  To me everyone is on a path to find the the "Unconditional Love Source" and everyone's path is different - some more rocky than others with deep crevices and steep cliffs.  And hey can't we all use some help at times... I know I can!

But have you ever experienced someone who violates your trust and completely just sucks your energy to the point you just have to say "STOP"?   Today I had the opportunity to look at a past situation once again... and I had to remind myself of the wise words of my mother and give myself permission to just acknowledge, accept and "Love from a Distance"!

Love Sweet Love

Posted on Oct 18th, 2008 by Kris : Messenger of Light Kris
Anybody remember this song?  I love the lyrics so I thought I would share:

Sweet Love

(Randle Chowning)
Hearts On Fire, 1978

______________________________________________________________________

Lyrics
______________________________________________________________________

if you want it, you can have it

'cause I know a few that's got it

and I had it once but now it's gone

if you're a dreamer you can do it

'cause there's really nothing' to it

and it doesn't have to take too long

you won't beat it, you won't fight it

you can't cheat it, you can't hide it in your pocket

you won't carry it home

if you're a faker you won't make it

or a taker you won't take it

in a locket where your secret's known

love, sweet love

love, sweet love

well I dreamed I drank with Jesus

and the told me all the reasons

He explained the powers of darkness and light

and he cried before a candle

as he thought of how we handle

the one feeling that just can't be denied

love, sweet love

love, sweet love

oh, take me down where the water flows

Lord, take me now

strip me of all I know

and give me love, sweet love

give me love, sweet love

Book Review - A Must Have for Every Library

Posted on Oct 21st, 2008 by Kris : Messenger of Light Kris

Books, Books, Books - In the world of Kris you just can't have too many of them.
When my children were young and living at home I made a point of reading almost everything they brought home from school.  First of all I wanted to make sure they were doing the reading so I would read the books and ask them questions - what a mean mother I was... (only sometimes - most of the time it was a way of bonding and connecting)  And secondly I just love books.

A couple of weeks ago I was meandering around our home here at Gaia and came across Jack's profile and fell upon this book titled "The Land of Smaerd".
Smaerd is dreams spelled backwards - how clever is that.  The illustrations were captivating to me... it was if whoever it was who painted these pictures had certainly visited my dreams.  I don't about you but my dream state at times if very mystical, colorful and adventurous.  So as it goes I had to order it.

Yes it's a children's book... and my point to this is after reading this beautiful story and getting lost in the pictures it reminded me that I had forgotten about some of Kris's dreams... I think sometimes we get all caught up in the day to day, the condition of the world, and a multitude of other distrations that we tend to forget about our dreams and what's important to us. . . I know I do...

When I come across a book that is particularly meaningful I like to share it with my friends and family. And if I can help someone else bring their dreams to fruition in the process it makes it all the better.

I'm inviting you to check it out:  http://www.TheLandOfSmaerd.com

Flight to Smaerd from THE LAND OF SMAERD, 2008

By the way it's Jack's publishing company "Know Wonder Publishing" that made this all a reality.  Hey and wouldn't this make a fabulous gift for someone!

Blessings...
Kris : )
